Aim

To guide pharmacy technicians in giving culturally appropriate weight management advice to patients from different ethnic backgrounds. 

Objectives

After completing this module and its online counterpart, you will be able to:    

• Recognise ethnic differences in BMI thresholds and obesity-related health risks 
• Apply culturally sensitive, person-centred communications in weight management consultations, especially concerning diet.
